These statements describe the public website and initial enquiries. We review them when the operator, hosting, enquiry service or website features change.
Who we are
Beanstalk & Co is a trading name of Living Beanstalk LLC, a New Jersey company. Living Beanstalk LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact hello@beanstalkco.com for privacy questions or requests.
This notice covers this website and initial business enquiries from people in the United States and United Kingdom. Client engagements, recruitment or other services may need additional privacy information. A separate venture or partner is responsible for its own services unless we explain otherwise.
Information and purposes
When you submit the website form or email us, we receive your name, email address, message and any organisation or other details you provide. Email correspondence may also include attachments. We use this information to answer you, understand your request, assess a potential engagement and maintain relevant business records. Providing information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without a way to contact you. Please do not send sensitive personal information or confidential client material with an initial enquiry.
Website enquiries are sent using Cloudflare Email Service and received in our Microsoft 365 mailbox. We do not add website enquiries to HubSpot or a mailing list. We have not added visitor analytics, advertising pixels or marketing tracking to this website.
When you choose Send enquiry, the website server processes your entries and uses Cloudflare Email Service to send an enquiry email to hello@beanstalkco.com. Cloudflare processes the email content and delivery information as part of sending it. We keep enquiry correspondence in Microsoft 365 mail; the website does not store a separate database copy of your message. Technical records, such as request identifiers, hashed values and timestamps, help limit spam and avoid duplicate submissions. Completing the form does not send its contents until you submit it. If you choose the email fallback, your email service receives the draft details and we receive them when you send the email. Your browser or email app may retain or autofill information under its own settings.
Hosting and security services may process technical information such as an IP address, browser details and request times to deliver and protect the site. This public website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites and can be viewed without a ChatGPT account. The hosting provider handles platform information under its own privacy notices.
Our basis for using information
Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests to respond to business enquiries, manage business relationships and protect our systems and records. Our interests are understanding requests, communicating effectively and running a secure business. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you personally, we may instead rely on those pre-contractual steps. We rely on legal obligations where we must keep or disclose records by law.
We do not use website enquiries for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell enquiry information or share it for targeted advertising.
Sharing and international access
Information may be available to authorised people working for Living Beanstalk LLC and to providers supporting email, hosting, security and professional advice. We share information where needed to answer your request, operate the service, meet a legal requirement or deal with a claim. We do not pass an enquiry to a separate venture or partner for its own follow-up without first explaining this to you.
Living Beanstalk LLC is based in the United States and may handle enquiries from the United Kingdom. Information can be accessed in the United States and United Kingdom, and service providers may process it in other countries. This is not a promise that information stays in either country. Where UK international-transfer rules apply to a provider arrangement, the relevant transfer mechanism and safeguards must be established. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
Microsoft, Cloudflare and OpenAI publish information about their own services and privacy practices. Their notices do not replace this notice for the information Living Beanstalk LLC controls.
How long we keep information
We keep an unsuccessful business enquiry for 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then delete it or remove identifying details. If an enquiry becomes an engagement or an ongoing business relationship, we retain the necessary records under the arrangements for that relationship. We may keep relevant information longer to meet a legal obligation, preserve evidence for a dispute or protect a legal claim. When a longer period is needed, access should be limited to the relevant purpose.
New valid submissions to the active enquiry service trigger routine cleanup. It removes duplicate-prevention records older than seven days and spam-rate records older than 24 hours in limited batches. Records may remain longer during periods without new submissions or while older records await a later cleanup batch. Hosting and account providers apply their own retention arrangements to information they control. Deletion from working systems may precede removal from routine backups.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may be able to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information. These rights have conditions and exceptions. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and will respond within the applicable legal period. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. Email hello@beanstalkco.com with the subject Privacy request. We will consider the objection and explain our response.
You can raise a concern with us or with the relevant regulator. In the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. In the United States, applicable complaint routes may include your state attorney general. If an applicable US privacy law provides an appeal right, you can ask us to reconsider a decision using the same email address.
